I enjoy the way Gabz works with text I and the way he lays outs the text on each portrait, the text its not hiding the face and its not distracting the viewer from the character but it still stands out with the red colour.

Theses posters caught my attention because the way the text are printed on top of each other. The way the poster is collage is very effective.

This is one of Samuel that I really enjoyed. The way he printed the text on top off the images is very beautiful. The pastel like colours he uses work well together.

Vector Movie Poster By Grzegorz Domaradzki

Grzegorz posters caught my attention, because of the way he uses and blends in the bright and dark colours. The way he illustrates the the faces of the character also caught my attention I like the rough look on their faces make the character look bold, its not lost behind the bold text.

Research

In my research I was trying to find some artist that work with illustrator that would have work that would interest me. Black and white are my colours. Black and white images always stand out for me and i tend to make my work around that way.

I found Giga work really fascinating. The way he brings out his concept and idea are really effective which is The Seven Diversities of Human Behaviour. His work is very dark and in a way mysterious, I really like the dark and horror look on his work the way he had double exposed his images are very effective. The added neon lines that creates shapes I think add structure to the images, the images have that flow and smokey effect but the neon colours lines add structure along with the bold sharp shapes that created but the other exposed image. He has added extra human body part on one page it emphasises on the concept of his work and I really enjoy that.

This is one piece out of 5 pieces of work that Giga created for this series of work. The theme behind his work didn't caught my attention like the first series I found interesting but it was the look, the visual of this work really caught my attention. The silhouette image of a make figure is very powerful shows emotion in this piece of work and the way the white paint like smudge on the figure eyes/face show the idea of hidden identity. I really like the way he collage the images digitally, each layer looks random but the red leaves really puts everything together.

Experiments

I like working with photographs and images. I don't really enjoy making my own images because I'm  not great at drawing. So I have decided to work with photos of my family members on illustrator.

I was looking through different ways I can change photos on Illustrator. Ive notice people in our class tracing over images to make the look cartoon like. But I did not have the patients to trace each part of the image so i started using the image trace tool.

 

This was the out come of me experimenting with the image trace tool. I enjoyed messing around with the image trace tool but I wasn't satisfied with the results and I wanted to work on the photos more but I really could do much with photos on illustrator so I have gone back to Photoshop.
